Fabulous Find

I cannot take credit for this wonderful find as I was introduced to it by my dear friend Rachel. A few weeks ago the girls and I went out to dinner and after dinner I suddenly smelled the most amazing thing, which I thought was some kind of warm drink. When I asked what the smell was, Rachel pulled out her lip gloss that she had just applied. I bought it for the scent and it just so happens that it is the most perfect color as well. I love a good find whether by me or from a friend and I love being able to pass it on. Hope you enjoy!

Balance

Whenever I hear that we are to balance our lives, I think to myself, balance? what's balance? I am just trying to keep the ship from sinking! Yet somewhere, somehow this must be possible. I just haven't figured it out yet. There are chores to be done, homework and piano lessons,

My House, Clean? Ya right!

For all my friends who believe that my house is always clean, this is for you!

Instead of cleaning the house which needed to be cleaned in the worst way,we went to the beach today. As usual we took more stuff than we actually used. But you have to be prepared, right? I am sure that every mom can relate to me when I say that not only was I the one who packed up all this gear, but I am also the one that will be unpacking it as well. Not that Darren is unwilling to help, that just so happens to be the way it goes.
I clean up the stuff, because quite honestly then I know it will get where it belongs and Darren watches the kids.

You can't see as well in the picture as in real life, but there are smears all over the floor from 10 o'clock last night, when Emma spilled her chocolate milk. It got wiped up with a dry cloth instead of washed up with a wet one. So as you can imagine it not only looks bad, it feels just as sticky.




This is a picture of my stairs. The carpet I love is somewhere under all those stains. When you vacuum and it doesn't look any better, that's when you know it's time to call in the professionals.

















The downstairs bathroom that I would prefer my kids not use at all, but have never had the energy to enforce, is the first place they go to wash up after being outside. They come out with clean hands and leave me a dirty sink. I know, at least they wash!

Our beautiful french doors are under all those finger prints, which if and when I wash them away, will reappear like magic before the day is out. Really what is the point.







The pile of laundry that also magically replenishes itself, over and over and over and over.


















And this. I honestly don't even know what this is. But it is on my floor. If you know me the one thing I love having is spotless floors. Needless to say I will spend all day Monday cleaning this house that I love to make it a little piece of heaven for my family, just to have it return to it's "before" state by the end of the day. I had to blog this or I would just get mad at all the work I have before me and to once and for all prove that my house is always dirty and I am always cleaning! Nothing feels better though than to look around after all is done and see how nice the house looks, even if it only lasts for a moment!
