the loft

1 of the things that I first fell in love with when we came to view this house was the loft in the kids bedrooms. They had 1 in each.
When we found out that our 5th baby was going to be a girl we decided to knock out the wall between the 2 lofts and make 1 big 1, as we would have to fit 5 children into 2 bedrooms. This is where Noelle sleeps. It is big enough to fit a twin bed, a dresser for clothes and 1 for toys. She has an area to play and we also put up a shelf for her books.
We still need flooring and base board. For now we are using an old area rug that isn't quite big enough to go wall to wall. We took Noelle's bed down in order to repaint and clean up and I wanted to get the new flooring down before we put the bed back up, but we can't decide what to do. Do we get carpet to match the rest of the house? Do we put laminate down? Or do we do a painted floor with an area rug? I don't know. I also need to paint the trim and the dresser, and then it will be all done. For now Noelle is thrilled to be back up there.

She definitely inherited my youthful pig pen gene. I can barely believe it myself when I think back to when I was younger and no one could see the floor of my bedroom for the stuff everywhere. Thankfully I out grew it. Hopefully she will too.

I hope that I will have after photos sooner than later and be able to check 1 room off my list!
