No winter lasts forever; no spring skips it's turn.
~Hal Borland~

Spring is taking it's time getting here this year. We wimpy west coasters are feeing the need for warmth. The other day the sun came out, so we decided to enjoy it.
1 step outside my parents back yard there is a beautiful hike up to a lake. In the summer time you can hear the beavers slap their tails in warning as they sense you near - you can't see them, but you can see the evidence of them.

Nya collecting rocks.

I don't think she really even knows why she is doing this. It is just in her genes.
Her Grandpa is a rock hound, and like her brother Bergen she seems to have inherited the same obsession.

It is so peaceful up here. It is the perfect hike for little ones.

Here's to springs late, but assured, arrival!
